Ravinarayan Chakrakodi,Professor, Regional Institute of English South India (RIESI), Bengaluru

Ravinarayan Chakrakodi, is Professor and Academic Head at Regional Institute of English South India (RIESI), Bengaluru. He has been involved in teacher training and teacher education at RIESI for the past 16 years. He has an MA in TESOL with distinction, from the University of Lancaster, UK. He has a PhD in portfolio assessment of writing skills. He has worked as Chairperson and Editor of English language textbooks for the Department of School Education in many states. His book Learn English Teach English: English Skills for Teachers was published by Oxford University Press, India. He has presented papers at the national level and at IATEFL conferences. His areas of specialization are second language acquisition theories, materials development, curriculum design and testing. He has published extensively and has worked on teacher research, mentoring teacher research projects at the national and international levels.
