Responsibilities of the Reviewers
- Peer review is essential to the journal in making editorial decisions and assisting authors in manuscript improvement.
- Experts in the relevant fields are selected as reviewers and they analyze the submitted research work from every perspective like quality, originality, academic standards, technical content, documentation, and significance to the journal’s scope.
- If a potential reviewer feels unqualified to review the manuscript, he/she should notify the editors immediately and excuse himself/herself from the review process.
- Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents and not shown or discussed with others without authorization from the editors.
- Reviews should be conducted objectively, without personal criticism of the author. The reviewers should send the review report in the stipulated period.
- Reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments, so as to help the author improve the quality of the paper.
- Reviewers should identify relevant publications not cited by the authors and point out substantial similarity with previously published works of which they have knowledge.
- The review report may result in any one of the suggestions mentioned here under, based on the quality of submission.
