Mona Sinha, Treasurer, Fortell is Associate Professor in the Department of English at Maharaja Agrasen College, University of Delhi. She obtained her Masters and MPhil degrees in English from University of Delhi, and a doctorate in television and cultural studies from Jamia Millia Islamia. She writes primarily in the areas of language and literature, cultural studies, media and television, feminist studies and popular fiction. She was also associated with creating material, teaching and mentoring for the ELPC (English Language Proficiency Course) initiated by ILLL (Institute of LifeLong Learning) at University of Delhi. Besides having edited several issues of the Fortell journal, she has edited Creative Forum, Journal of Literary and Critical Writings. She has also published translations and newspaper articles. Her recent publications include a co-edited anthology on Indian Popular Fiction: New Genres, Novel Spaces, published by Routledge (2021); book chapter on ‘Reading Mills and Boon in India: From the Post-Colonial to the Millennial Experience’ (Indian Popular Fiction: Redefining the Canon, Routledge 2021); journal articles, ‘In Search of A Feminaissance: Women in the Hot-Seat of Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (Journal of Media & Communication, Dec 2023); ‘The Bodhi Tree: Tracing a Living Religious, Spiritual and Cultural Heritage’ (The Research Post,2023).
