Ruchi Kaushik, M.Phil (English Literature), Ph.D (Applied Linguistics), is Professor, Department of English at Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. A materials producer and a teacher trainer, she has been involved in curriculum development and materials designing projects at DU, IGNOU and NCERT. Her published books include the co-edited anthology Critical Issues in ELT (Aakar, 2022); Listening and Speaking XI (Cambridge University Press, 2014) and Language, Literature and Creativity (co-authored and co-edited, Orient Blackswan, 2013). She was awarded the US State Department Individual Award in 2016 to present a paper titled “Designing Games for Language Gains: Enhancing Speaking Skills Amongst Learners” at the 50th TESOL International English Language Convention at Maryland. She was also one of the Delhi University delegates invited for an intensive training in Blended Learning Methodology Workshop at the Open University, Milton Keynes, UK(2008) under the UKIERI. Her areas of research include Materials Development, English for Specific Purposes and Innovative Pedagogy for Literature and Language Teaching in which she has published and presented at national and international fora. She is currently the President of FORTELL Association. As the Associate Editor of Fortell, she has edited several issues of the journal, recent one being the focused issue on Pedagogical Innovations in the English Classroom (No.47, July 2023).
